The club also ran a side-by-side competition — gun barrels are side by side, rather than vertical — with 12 competitors competing in the concurrent event.
Jeremy Joyce won the event, followed by Ron Purss second and Steve Norris third.
The club is holding a firearm safety and training day on June 23 for people to do their firearm safety course and sit the exam. Participants must be at least 12 and the course is a prerequisite for a junior permit or open firearm licence.
The day costs $25 and includes cartridges, clays and lunch.
