All Stars lead pack

May 12, 2018

All Stars and Two Girls and a Boy might lead competitors but, with both teams having byes in the next two weeks, a clearer picture of the top teams will soon emerge.

TGAAB went down against Bulldogs but has clung on to second on the ladder.

Chad Parker was a late withdrawal and Macca filled in admirably, defeating Colin ‘The Headband’ McBean in four close games.

That was the only joy for TGAAB as Bradley ‘The Kid’ Allison demolished David ‘The Lord of the Rings’ Hall and Kelly ‘Lady Gaga’ Christensen defeated arch-rival Sally ‘The Queen’ Littlewood.

The Queen did not play up to her usual standard and her game is clearly suffering after not receiving an invite to the Royal wedding.

All Stars and Broady Boys had a close tussle, but it was the experience of Noel ‘The Ace’ Pearson and Paul ‘The President’ Kennedy who steadied the ship for the ladder leaders.

The Ace received an early shock with Tim Crump taking the first game 15/3, but The Ace’s fitness and skills blossomed as he took the next three games to snare the rubber.

The President was too good for David ‘The Bull’ Bulluss, while the only winner for the Broad Boys was first season star Chris ‘The Glazier’ Conboy.

The Boys have a bit of work to do if they want to match it with the stars of Seymour.

Keep calling your lets.
