On Tuesday the club conducted its Star of the Green tournament.
The competition runs early in the season in order to prepare bowlers for the upcoming season.
Many players participated and Dilva Grattan was the winner on the day.
Congratulations to Grattan who put on an exhibition of draw bowling, winning all three of her games.
The club’s opening day was held on Saturday with 56 players in attendance.
Member for Euroa Steph Ryan opened the bowling season and presented the club with a new state flag.
The day was enjoyed by all and ended with a lovely afternoon tea produced by the members.
Friday night’s social club was well attended too, with members enjoying drinks, raffles and nibbles.
Some new initiatives have been introduced. One is the club photo competition.
Please read the note on the social club board regarding this.
Entries of pre-school and baby photos are welcomed and essential for the success of this competition.

Jenny, our mid-week champion, kicked off the afternoon by rolling the first jack followed by Saturday’s champion, Noel, sending down the first bowl.
Those present played three games of six ends, at the end of which we enjoyed a scrumptious afternoon tea provided by members.
The day’s winners were Noel, Jenny, Len and Geoff who were presented with their trophies which were kindly donated by Iris.
A surprise visit by Mary gave everyone a boost, it was so great to see and chat with her. We wish her all the best as she embarks on more treatment in coming weeks.
Well wishes are extended to Blue who is recuperating at home after his stay in hospital.
Kate celebrated her birthday with us (hopefully our singing wasn’t too bad).
A reminder to all members to check the noticeboard for upcoming events such as the pennant practice matches at Broadford on Saturday and at Euroa on October 14.
